Newcastle January Event

You can now book onto our January City Ladies Networking breakfast, held as usual at Newcastle Gateshead Hilton.

This session will feature an incredible spotlight speaker Kayleigh Laverick.

Kayleigh is the founder of Mamma Social Co, an organisation tackling isolation and loneliness among parents. After a traumatic birth that left her battling postnatal depression, PTSD and suicidal thoughts, Kayleigh transformed her pain into purpose. In 2021, feeling isolated, she invited local mothers for a simple walk – an act that changed her life. Nine mams joined, and Mamma Social Co was born.

From that small meet-up, it’s grown into a thriving community with 50+ groups across the UK and 17,000 parents connecting regularly. Through Kayleigh’s leadership, Mamma Social Co has partnered with household names like John Lewis and Tommee Tippee and work with BetterHelp to provide much needed free therapy for those that need it most.

In 2024, Kayleigh's impact was recognised when she won the ScaleUp Social Impact award at the Start Up Awards North East and became a finalist in the Health and Wellbeing category at the Enterprise Vision Awards. She was also named on Business Cloud’s Northern Leaders Futures List, which highlights individuals making a positive difference in the North of England.

The weekly Mamma Social podcast, launched in 2023 with co-host Lauren Causer, pulls zero punches, sharing what it’s really like being a parent and is a hit with mams and dads alike.

So come and enjoy breakfast, visit a lovely venue and meet lots of like-minded women face to face.

Parking is free at this event, subject to availability. The code will be made available at the event.
